Dr. Roz & Sistas Album - Sistas Calling Soundtrack
Dr. Roz & Sistas is the debut album from Dr. Roz Roach which serves as the soundtrack for stage production, Sistas Calling. The album features ten original songs all written by Dr. Roz, spanning multiple genres, including pop, calypso, and poetry. The consistent messaging from the composition is empowerment, healing, resilience, and unity. 
 
No Means No is the 1st single from the album. The Consent Anthem we have all been waiting for blends dance pop, Latin, and calypso elements that get everyone dancing and singing along. The lyrics are clear "can't touch this, can't touch this, no permission given" sending a direct message that body sovereignty is a must, consent is a must, and that women's bodies are not for consumption.
 
The title track, Sistas Calling is a drum-heavy pop anthem that calls on all men and women around the world to join the anti-violence movement. Lyrics appeal to "Brothas with Souls" to do their part to end violence against women and girls. 
 
Dr. Roz & Sistas is one of the cornerstones of the SCOPE program. All proceeds from each sale will support The SCOPE Program. The SCOPE  (Sistas Calling Outreach & Public Education) Program was designed by Dr. Roz of Dr. Roz’s Healing Place with the intention of calling on the global community, particularly men, to work together to dismantle violence against women and children. The SCOPE program offers activities and events using the album, Dr. Roz & Sistas, and the music dance theatre production, Sistas Calling, which tells the story of a survivor named Rosa who escapes abuse, heals her trauma, and overcomes racism and sexism, to transform and emerge resilient and empowered. SCOPE seeks to spread powerful messaging using music, art, and performance to reach the public in an authentic and immersive way.

  • 1. Grant of License

    1.1 License to Use: Licensor hereby grants Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the music files ("Music") provided by Licensor. This license is for personal, non-commercial use only.

    1.2 Permitted Uses: Licensee is permitted to:

    • Download the Music for personal use.

    • Play or listen to the Music on personal devices such as computers, smartphones, and audio players.

    • Create personal, non-commercial copies of the Music for backup or archival purposes.

    1.3 Restrictions: Licensee may not:

    • Sell, distribute, or share the Music with others.

    • Use the Music for commercial purposes, including but not limited to broadcasting, performing, or as part of a public performance, without obtaining separate commercial licensing from Licensor.

    • Modify, remix, or create derivative works of the Music, unless explicitly allowed in writing by Licensor.

    2. Ownership

    2.1 Intellectual Property: Licensor retains all ownership rights, title, and interest in and to the Music, including any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights associated with the Music.

    2.2 No Transfer of Rights: This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to Licensee. Licensee acknowledges that their use of the Music is governed solely by the terms of this Agreement.

    3. Payment and Fees

    3.1 Fees: Licensee agrees to pay the agreed-upon fees for the Music download as per the pricing listed at the time of purchase.

    3.2 Refunds: All payments are non-refundable, except in cases where Licensor is unable to fulfill the download as described.

    4. Warranty and Limitation of Liability

    4.1 No Warranty: Licensor makes no representations or warranties regarding the Music, including but not limited to the accuracy, functionality, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Music.

    4.2 Limitation of Liability: Licensor shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to incidental or consequential damages, arising from the use or inability to use the Music.

    5. Termination

    5.1 Termination of License: Licensor may terminate this license if Licensee breaches any term of this Agreement. Upon termination, Licensee must cease using and delete all copies of the Music.

    5.2 Survival of Obligations: The obligations in Sections 2, 4, 6, and any other provision that by its nature should survive termination, will continue after the termination of this Agreement.

    6. General Terms

    6.1 Governing Law: This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction].

    6.2 Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or proposals, whether oral or written.

    6.3 Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

    6.4 Amendments: This Agreement may be amended only in writing, signed by both parties.

    By downloading and using the Music, Licensee agrees to the terms of this Agreement.
